Arts and Craftsman: Greene and Greene Architecture
DSEA gets inspired
Pioneering architects and designers, Charles Sumner Greene and his brother Henry Mather Greene are best known for creating the Greene & Greene Craftsman style of architecture. The Greene and Greene style emphasizes the visual importance of the joints, pegs, and complex connections of natural woodwork, giving them a natural aesthetic. The composition of the structural elements of the house is expressed simply and without adornment rather than hidden in decoration. Each element of the structure asserts itself while blending with all elements for a natural composition.
DSEA is inspired by this architecture style as well as others, and have used these in many of our historic features on uniquely identifiable projects.
